It was a good couple of races for Gary Klutt and the PoolSuppliesCanada.ca team. They were able to pull off a 5th and 10th place finish in the two races in Saskatoon. Klutt and the Poolsuppliescanada.ca team qualified 6th for the first race, and had a strong run on the way to a top 5 finish. “We had a really good car, and I may have played it a little conservative, but without a week before the next race, that’s the way you have to play it” said Klutt.
The #59 car started 2nd in Race #2, and stayed in the top three for most of the race. “Every single restart we were on the outside, and it’s just tough to get back down to the bottom of the track when everyone is so close” said Klutt. For the final re-start of the night, Klutt lined up 6th with nine laps to go. “I saw that everyone was fighting hard and rubbing on the bottom, so with 4 to go, I figured, we weren’t happy enough to just ride home 6th, I had to go for it!” smiled Klutt. Klutt drove the car deep into corner #3 on the high-side and just caught the dirt, he was able to control the big drift and recover for a 10th place finish.
