Gary Klutt at the Grand Prix Du Trois-Rivieres Race Recap

Gary Klutt at the Grand Prix Du Trois-Rivieres

Trois Rivieres QC: Tough luck continued for the Klutt at GP3R resulting in a 13th place finish this past weekend at Canada’s oldest street circuit.

Klutt and the Poolsuppliescanada.ca team qualified 11th for the main event. “ We worked hard on the car in practice and figured that we should sacrifice a little bit of qualifying speed for a better long run race set up” said Klutt. By lap 4 of the race the teams hopes of a strong finish were in serious doubt, as a rear end leak resulted in gear oil being distributed to the rear tires all race.

Klutt hit pit road to see if there could be anything done about the issue, but soon resumed the race. Running 9th on the last lap, Klutt was hit hard from behind by the #25 in the final corner and spun. “I don’t know what he was thinking, there was no where to go! Regardless it ended our chances of salvaging a top 10 finish from what was already a tough race to run”. With a could of tire smoke, The #59 spun around and came across the line 13th.

The team be seen on track next at CTMP on September 3rd.
