Water bags are the best way to keep your pool cover secure all winter long. The water bags are manufactured from quality heavy gauge vinyl that has been treated with UV inhibitors and anti-bacterial and anti-fungus additives. They are designed to withstand sub-zero temperatures and we recommend that you use the single tubes for covers with water bag loops.
When using water bags be sure to only fill water bags 30% to 40% full to allow room for expansion due to freezing.

Do not waste your time or money. I honestly did not know what to expect, but I expected these to at least last more than 5 minutes. I ordered 8 on Dec 14th and they arrived on Dec 16th. Very fast shipping as per usual. It is currently 14 degrees celsius outside, so I wanted these installed on my tarp today (I was using Water Softner Salt bags). 3 of 8 arrived with holes already in them, and 2 split open as soon as I placed them on the tarp. There were only 1/2 filled as per instructions I had seen regarding leaving room for the ice to expand. So out of 8 that arrived, only 3 survived! I was advised I can get new ones on warranty, but I have since changed my mind and used patio stones. I do not want more of these landing in the land fill after they are finished after 1 season, or is they arrive with holes again or split open within 5 minutes.

50% of the pool bags have leaked. Kind of frustrating.
Would not suggest it unless you only want them for about 1-2 seasons. I bought about 12 and after the first year 3 of them were damaged( only 1 side of the double tubes were keeping the water).
Perfect! Very strong and made closing a breeze this fall.
