Control bacteria and algae in spas and hot tubs with Pool Supplies Canada Spa Brominating Granules. A quick dissolving oxidation treatment, brominating granules provide effective sanitation, promoting water clarify and eliminating organic waste from spa water such as perspiration, body oils, and cosmetics. Broadcast in to hot tub or spa water and enjoy clean, sanitized water!

Instructions for Use:

1) Maintain recommended daily levels as determined by a testing kit
Free available chlorine: 3.0 - 5.0 ppm;
pH: 7.2 - 7.8
Total Alkalinity: 100 - 150 ppm
Calcium Hardness: 100 - 200 ppm

2) With circulation system running, add 6 grams (roughly half a tablespoon) of brominating granules per 1000 litres of water as needed directly to bather free water; Test for available bromine and repeat dosage every 15-20 minutes until a residual of 3 - 5 ppm is reached

3) Periodic superchlorination of spa water is recommended after heavy use or once a week; add 25 grams per 1000 litres of water to superchlorinate your spa water as required

4) Persistent foam formation, turbid, or Malodorous water are indicators of inadequate sanitizer levels; to correct these conditions, superchlorinate spa water as per the step above; maintain circulation for at least 30 minutes after superchlorinating and wait at least 4 hours before bathing again

Brominating granules contain stabilizer (cyanuric acid) which will accumulate in spa water; ensure your spa water maintains a 30 - 100 ppm range by diluting with fresh water. Comes in an 800 gram container.
