Rough Prime helps smooth out unusually rough concrete or plaster. It is especially recommended for sandblasted surfaces and has excellent adhesion to fiberglass. Rough Prime's heavy viscosity acts as a "filler" to give your pool surface a more uniform profile. Used ONLY on bare surfaces as an undercoat for Dura Seal epoxy pool paint.
Smart Seal recommends a primer on bare surfaces prior to application of Dura Seal. Smart Seal primers are designed to penetrate and seal the surface, providing uniformity. With Dura Seal completing the process, you have a new, ceramic-like surface that is cohered to the substrate, and a beautiful finish that lasts up to eight years.
This high-build epoxy primer is a 2-Part Catalyst System and comes in a 1 gallon container (each catalyst system part sold separately). Coverage: 125 - 150 sq ft per gallon. Purchase Smart Seal Dura Seal Epoxy Paint in your desired colour to complete the 2-part process.
Warranty Coverage: Kelley Technical Coatings Canada Pool Paint comes with a 30 Day Limited Manufacturers Warranty. The manufacturer warrants this Pool Paint against defects on workmanship and materials. This warranty will be void if the pool paint is damaged as a result of improper installation or use, or if damage is a result of ice. Warranty does not cover any labour charges, cost of lost water or chemicals, or any other damages that may occur.

It was so much easier than using the Sidercrete product that we purchased from the US that leaked. It took my husband and I 2 hours to paint it on. We used the Rough Paint on top.
