Hayward 5610 is my 3rd Hayward and last one , 3 pumps in 10 years they don’t last and you have to keep adding parts to get any longevity from them , they eat power switches and seals the basket is of the worse possible design on this model , compared to my new pump Vevor the Hayward was extremely noisy , just a heads up don’t buy this model or make if possible, this is my experience with Hayward and last purchase as they don’t last and expensive and you will need to keep buying parts .
This unit is noisy,and goes through seals,every season. Basket is difficult to remove,and reseal. Works well,but not worth the hasssles
It works well and is very quiet
By all the reviews, I thought I had a winner. Turns out it’s not well built after all. The company did a great job getting me the pump and new filter but after 1 season, we had issues with the pump leaking. Replaced the seal myself (I’m a HD mechanic) easy job but only lasted for another 2 seasons and started leaking again. Bought another seal from them this year and again they did a great job getting me the parts. Took pump apart to replace seal and noticed a lot of corrosion on the motor and the plastic used to make the wet end. Put the seal in anyways but was really disappointed. It didn’t last a day and started leaking again. I suspect looking back on things, I should have returned this pump when we first. Bought it. It wasn’t quiet, it wasn’t smooth, but I just thought that’s the way they are. This is my 5th Hayward pool pump over the years and I suspect I will not buy another Hayward pump. Time to try a different brand. Too bad Hayward cheated out!
Excellent little 1HP pool pump. Pump started leaking one year (second pool season) after purchasing it. This seems to be a common problem and I would encourage buyers to consider getting the extended warranty. Warranty from Hayward is good for one year. Buying the replacement seal is going to cost the price of the extended warranty which is good for three years.
This is a good strong pump but it is a little noisy.
Best Pump on the market by far. Quick Connects make Winterizing a breeze. Nice Job Hayward. Price is unbelievable. Absolutely a no brainer when comparing to any other pump. Jim.
Good pump for the price, ordered online after calling for some info. their service is outstanding and it was shipped in 2 days to my house in new brunswick...
Really like my new power flow matrix pump, runs pretty quiet and does a good job of circulating the pool - no complaints here!

We are so pleased with our new pump! The basket is so much bigger than our old pump I don't feel like I have to keep runiing to check if it's full like I used to and it also runs fantastic!
